When you access a browser-based application protected by PINsafe, you will be presented with an image such as the one below (called a “Turing image"):

The bottom row of ten digits is called the “Security String.” The Security String is randomly generated each time you try to log in to the application, and is presented using a variety of different fonts and backgrounds. If you cannot read all the digits in the Security String, click on the “New Image” button or link to display another one.

Log in to PINsafe Protected Resource

Enter your NetID and NetID password

Depending on the application, the Turing image will appear on the same page, or will be displayed after you press ENTER or click “Login.”

Once the Turing image appears, determine your One-Time Code (OTC)

You can determine your OTC from the image by entering the digits from the Security String that correspond to the digits of your PIN. For example:

Enter the OTC in the blank provided on the web page

press ENTER or click “Login”

Changing or Reseting your Pin

Go to Swivel User Portal

2.

Enter your NetID and click “Submit”

3.

Choose “Change PIN” or “Reset PIN” from the menu on the left
