Classroom Technology
The New School offers a variety of classroom spaces, each designed to support different teaching styles and environments. Every classroom is equipped with standard technology, including an instructor’s computer, an LCD projector with sound, laptop connections, and network connectivity. This technology empowers faculty to deliver dynamic presentations, incorporate multimedia content, and facilitate interactive learning experiences that engage and inspire students.

Beyond the classroom, IT provides a variety of resources to support faculty and students in teaching and learning:
- Google Communication & Productivity Services
Google is The New School’s primary platform for communication and collaboration. Faculty and students have access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and other Google tools. These services are commonly used for submitting assignments, sharing files, and collaborating on projects.

Zoom enables faculty to host online classes, meetings, and virtual office hours. Students can also use Zoom to collaborate on group projects, even when they can’t meet in person.

Faculty and students have access to academic applications for personal devices, including the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Qualtrics research tools. Additional specialized software is available on classroom computers and in technology labs.
