Can I share or collaborate on a Qualtrics Project (Survey)?
Yes, you can share your Qualtrics Project with someone at the New School (in the New School Qualtrics brand) and with a full Qualtrics account outside the new school (i.e another institution’s Qualtrics brand).
You cannot share a Project with a free or trial Qualtrics account.
Also, there can only be one owner per Project.
Can I transfer ownership of a Qualtrics Project (Survey) to another Qualtrics account?
Yes, the request has to be in writing from a New School email, both the current owner and the new owner must be included in the email.
If the email comes from the new owner, the current owner must reply with approval to change ownership.
I can’t find the account of the collaborator I want to share a Qualtrics Project (Survey) with?
The recipient of your collaboration request has to have either.
1. A New School brand Qualtrics account.
2. Another university's Qualtrics brand account.
If you are sure that they have a New School Qualtrics account, then their first name, last name, or TNS email may not be correct in Qualtrics. They will have to email IT Central from their TNS email to have their Qualtrics account information updated.
Which API or Integration, does New School Qualtrics support?
Managing your Qualtrics Account
- I am starting at The New School and need to bring my existing Qualtrics project and research?
- I am graduating from The New School, transferring, etc., I need to save my survey data?
I am starting at The New School and need to bring my existing Qualtrics project and research?
There are two methods to do this.
Save the surveys to a media (Disk drive, USB drive, etc.), you can then import them to your New School Qualtrics brand account.
Transfer the whole account from your old institution to your New School Qualtrics brand account.
You have to open a ticket with ITCentral from your TNS email to do so. Note that this may take a few weeks.
Your previous institution’s Qualtrics brand admin will need to be contacted by the New School Qualtrics brand admin to coordinate.
I am graduating from The New School, transferring, etc., I need to save my survey data?
There are two methods to do this.
Save the surveys to a media (Disk drive, USB drive, etc).
You can then import them to either your analysis tool (SPSS, R, Python).
If you want you can save the form of the survey also
Transfer the whole account to your new institution.

The new institution’s Qualtrics brand admin will need to be contacted by the New School Qualtrics brand admin to coordinate.
Troubleshooting Qualtrics
My account has a limited number of surveys, limited access, etc.
Please check that your browser path is:
newschool.qualtrics.com
If it says anything other than newschool.qualtrics.com then you are logged in either another institution’s instance of Qualtrics or on the main Qualtrics portal.
It is possible to have a Qualtrics demo or trial account matched to your TNS email.
Note that none of the above prevents you from accessing and using your TNS Qualtrics account at newschool.qualtrics.com.
