When can I use the Small Flatbed Scanners?
Small flatbed scanners may be accessed during lab and classroom hours of operation. Scanners in the U426 University Center can be accessed at all times during University Center operation hours.
How do I scan an image?
Express Stations

Place the image face-down on the scanner glass

Open Adobe Acrobat

Go to Create > PDF From Scanner

From the Scanner drop-down menu select CanoScan LiDE 110

Click Scan

Windows PC

Place the image face-down on the scanner glass

Open Photoshop
-
In Photoshop, go to File > Import > WIA Support; press "Start"; select "WIA CanoScan LiDE 110" > OK

Select the "type" of picture you want to scan (Color, Gray, B&W text, etc.)

Adjust the box over the area you wish to scan. You can crop out blank space to reduce file size.

Click Scan

Save to Work In Progress

You can now edit your images in Photoshop

In Photoshop, go to File > Import > Images from Device...

The Import Images from Device dialog box appears, where you can select CanoScan LiDE under Devices

Click Scan

Edit your images in Photoshop. When you're done, copy your files to a disk or storage device
