How can I reserve an Arnhold Hall suite?

You can reserve a suite by agreeing to the guidelines and reserving a suite through Webcheckout

Where are Audio and Video suites available at the New School?

Audio and Video reservable suites are exclusively available at Arnhold Hall 55 W 13th St, 8th flr.

Who can reserve Arnold Hall suites?

Degree or credit-seeking students who are currently registered and faculty.

What can my reservations include?

Audio suites or Video suites or the i818-Voiceover booth.

I need to reserve both the i817-Audio04 and i818-Voiceover booth

Students
Your account can only reserve one suite at a time. You can either:
1. Work with your colleagues, one reserve i817-Audio04 and the another reserves i818-Voiceover.
2. Reserve i817-Audio04 and contact the LSO manager at lso@newschool.edu and ask them to add in i818-Voiceover to your reservation, you will need to provide the CK number from your reservation email.

Faculty
Your account can reserve multiple suites at the same time. You can just reserve i817-Audio04 and i818-Voiceover at the same time, it will show as two items on the Webcheckout CK.

How far in advance should I reserve an Arnhold Hall suite?

At least six hours of lead time are required to create, modify or cancel a reservation.

How long can an Arnhold Hall suite be reserved?

Up to six hours

Can I stay past my reservation time?

Reservation may only be made during Lab Hours. If you'd like to stay past your reservation end time, ask the reception staff to make sure there is no reservation starting after the end of yours.

When must I return all in-house equipment?

You must return all in-house equipment in person 30 minutes before the lab closes. Wait while the staff tests the equipment. This may take up to 30 minutes. After testing, the staff member and you will both initial the contract. You may request a copy for your records.

Any missing or damaged item is noted and investigated. If investigation determines you are clearly at fault, you will be notified to repair or replace the item(s). Until you do, you will be restricted from making reservations.

Is training available for the suites?

You should have prior knowledge of the suite requested. No training is provided. To assist you, there is workflow information available on-site.

Am I supposed to sign in to use the suites?

Yes, Present your valid New School ID, and sign in at Arnhold Hall, 8th floor reception to record your attendance.

What happens if I am late for my reservation time?

There is a 30 minute grace period past your start time. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will forfeit your reservation and the suite may be released to other users.

What should I do when checking out in-house equipment?

You are fully responsible for in-house equipment. Check all items and test them thoroughly before signing the contract. If any item is missing or problematic, alert the staff, who will replace it or make a note on the contract. No insurance is provided by the university.

I am TNS faculty and need a suite for my course

You can make a reservation through the portal for a single reservation or for multiple days.
You can have multiple reservations for multiple suites at the same time.

I am TNS faculty and need to book i820-Audio03 with the i821 classroom

i820-Audio03 and the i821 classroom cannot be reserved in the suite reservation system (Webcheckout).
They can only be booked via 25Live.
You can either enter a request in 25Live directly, or you can contact your divisional or departmental scheduler.

Note that the Voiceover booth is not booked automatically with the i820-Audio03\i821 classroom booking.
If you want to use the Voiceover booth you will have to book it via the reservation system (Webcheckout).

I am a TNS student and need to book i820-Audio03 with the i821 classroom

i820-Audio03 and the i821 classroom cannot be reserved in the suite reservation system (Webcheckout).
If you are looking to book it for either a course-related or a non-course event related to your academic program or home college please speak directly with your local college Dean's office for assistance.

Note that the Voiceover booth is not booked automatically with the i820-Audio03\i821 classroom booking.
If you want to use the Voiceover booth you will have to book it via the reservation system (Webcheckout).
